Introduction of the Organization



With the aim of protecting and enhancing the gurung culture, Tamu Dhin- Nepal was established on 2042B.S.(1983 A.D). Tamu Dhin Nepal is a non profit organization devoted towards people’s welfare. The Organization is composed of 38 sub-bodies and a head quarter, all situated within the Pokhara city. The organization also consists of several group’s like youth committee, students union, and so called Ama Samuha(group of mother’s of  the society) all working for social welfare and establishing a sound community. It’s a well known organization in its class proving its active participation in the development of the society via several programs forwarded by the organization.

The organization is well known for its major functions like introducing the traditional culture of gurung community, protecting their cultural aspects and raising public awareness program.

Some of the programs offered by Tamu Dhin Nepal:
•    Blood donation program
•    Cleanliness program
•    Free check-up/medical service
•    Interregional game’s and sports
•    Scholarship for requiring candilidates
•    Gurung language class etc...

Tamu Dhin’s concern for increasing accident’s


The increasing accident’s in the city and the victim’s inaccessibility towards meeting the immediate medic care due to lack of ambulance within the city has been Tamu Dhin’s recent big concern. We are very delighted to know that the Indian Government has been providing Ambulance to the Nepalese organization’s annually. This kind of yours honorable act has encouraged Tamu Dhin Nepal to deal with its recent concern. With the aim of serving local people in the city as well as other’s from neighbor district’s Tamu Dhin Nepal would like to request to provide ambulance for it.

Capability of the organization to provide service


As Tamu Dhin receives a huge donation’s from the people residing in Nepal and Outside Nepal, the organization would like to inform you that it has sufficient fund to carry out the acquiring ambulance service expenses. It’s and organization situated in the Gandaki zone which has the major population of Gurung caste, all associated with the organization. The organization consists of active participation of the members willing to serve the community on their thoughts without expecting any return for their act. Ex-Indian Army’s are one of the examples of the people participating actively in this organization.
Thus, the organization would like to request the Indian government to provide the ambulance and would like to inform that it will bear all the operating cost’s on its own.
